Trent Lott and Dennis Hastert both resigning?

I wonder just what sort of slimy, writhing filth is about to be spewed into the public awareness regarding these two stalwart, upstanding, family-values oriented, conservative (I think I just threw up a little in my mouth) “men of God” that they felt it was necessary to resign now in order to “spend more time with their families.”

Is it because word on the street is that Larry Flint is about ready to publish his long-awaited and infamous list of sexual hypocrites in the United States Congress? Or perhaps because a certain well-paid rentboy has just been linked to the senator from Mississippi? (All I can say in regards to that is, “Ewww!” I’d go play for the other team before I’d mess around with Mr. Helmet Hair!)

But of course none of that could be true. We all know things like that just don’t happen! A closeted gay Republican paying for boy-toy cock on the down-low? Oh puleeze! That’s just crazy talk!

I think it’s going to get very, very interesting as we head further into this election season.

UPDATE: It appears the rentboy-Lott connection may be not be true after all. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Damn, I want my schadenfreude!
